I had to show you these shoes, not because I love them, but because they’re one of the more… unusual… pairs of shoes that’ve popped up on Net-a-Porter this month. The snake strap, the velvet footbed (not the most practical fabric for a sandal, really, and for some reason red velvet always makes me think of Christmas. The red and gold colour combination only increases that effect, but I guess the snake isn’t exactly something generally associated with Christmas…), the wooden heel: there’s a whole lot going on with these shoes, isn’t there? Do you like them, though? If you do, click here to buy them: but be prepared to pay £465 for them.
Well… no… although I must confess I love snakes as rings and bracelets… not now as sandals. Certainly poisonous ones, all over the ankle, argh, I’d have a feeling of danger the whole time. And the price? Noooo!
I’m possibly biased because my legs are too short for straps that come high up the calf but the idea of a snake slithering up my leg… no thanks.
I think they look like something a villain in a kids movie would wear… 😛
Yuck. They look really tacky and cheap, which is a good effort considering the price.
There is a little bit of Gucci and too much Caovilla…uhm…
