Two celebrities, one pair of shoes, two very different looks. Which is your favourite, though?
The shoes in question are Salvatore Ferragamao’s houdstooth pumps, and I somehow doubt this will be the last time we’ll see them on a pair of celebrity feet, because this entire collection is proving very popular.
On the left, we have Lady Gaga dressed in head-to-toe houdstooth, right down to her glasses. (This is actually pretty toned-down for Gaga, no?), while on the right we have Evan Rachel Wood wearing the same shoes with the much more classic look of a fitted blazer and black skinny jeans.
Let’s imagine Gaga took off the glasses, and maybe a few of the accessories: which look do you prefer: matchy-matchy or cool and classic?
I prefer Evan Rachel Wood’s look. I love these shoes especially cause the pattern continues onto the sole of the shoe 🙂

No question for me, it’s Evan Rachel Wood’s take. Sleek, tad sexy, classy. Gaga just screams “look at me”, and it’s simply getting boring 🙁
I really like both! I even prefer Gaga over Evan, because I am a sucker for her weird wardrobe! I looove that dress and the pearls and I think without the glasses her outfit would look creepy – way to matchy-matchy, but somehow with the glasses it all works for me…
I think ERW’s look is a bit on the boring/safe side, especially for her. But, were someone to steal away the ridiculous glasses and the ugly hat, I’m all for Gaga’s look (for once). I think the dress, bag and shoes work really well together (surprisingly so).
I would most certainly wear both looks. ERW is how i dress to go to work I daresay she is underdressed….
For Gaga’s i would only tone down the ensemble with no accessories and I can imagine the same outfit on Ditta von T, for me thats a good thing.
I actually prefer Lady Gaga’s look (minus some accessories). At least she’s having fun with it, while the other one seems too boring!
Surprisingly, I prefer Gaga’s look. But it needs the glasses and the over-the-top accessories. Without those, it’s matchy-matchy. With them, it’s a statement I’m willing to listen to!
I much prefer Evan Rachel Wood’s look. I love that everything obviously compliments one another… but without actually being the same. It gives the eyes a rest and allows them to wander from one item to the next, with the shoes being the highlight of the outfit (in my opinion).
Gaga’s look is put together and attractive (and yes quite played down for Gaga! hehe,) but it is a bit of an assault to the eyes to stare at that much of the same pattern. That said, I still like Gaga’s look… I just like Evan Rachel Wood’s look better.
As much as this is one of Gaga’s most “normal” outfits, I prefer Evan Rachel Wood’s look 🙂
