Five Ways to Wear Wellies | How to Wear Hunter Boots

Rainy days and Mondays don’t have to get you down if you have the right outfit for the weather, but unfortunately for those us who live in rainy weather, Wellington boots aren’t always synonymous with style.

Thanks in part to the ongoing popularity of Hunter boots, however, good ol’ wellies have had a bit of a makeover in recent years. No longer are they the purely-practical footwear you wear on the way to work, and get changed out of as soon as you possibly can. These days, rain boots can be a style statement all on their own, and while I wouldn’t necessarily recommend wearing them to the office, I’d happily wear any of the outfits below, Hunter boots included.

Here are five stylish ways to wear your Hunters…

WITH A BLANKET SCARF AND JEANS

I’m loving the current trend for over-sized blanket scarves: such a cute and cosy look! Southern Curls & Pearls pairs her scarf with a pair of shiny red Hunter wellies for a fabulous fall look.

WITH AN ALL-BLACK OUTFIT

Alexandra of Lovely Pepa lets her plum-coloured Hunter boots provide the only pop of colour in an all-black outfit.

WITH A SLOUCHY SWEATER

Taylor of Little Blonde Book looks absolutely adorable in her heart-print sweater and bright red Hunter boots. I’m starting to think I might need a pair of these boots in this colour…

WITH A CLASSIC CABLE KNIT AND BRIGHTLY-COLOURED COAT

This look from Make Life Easier proves that rain boots don’t have to look sloppy: the bright red coat and black Hunter boots create a really sophisticated cold-weather look.

WITH A CUTE DRESS

I love the way Kendi Everyday’s coral Hunter boots pick out the colour of the print on her dress: such a cute look for a rainy day!
