THE SHOES: Giuseppe Zanotti gold slingback sandals, £432
Gold mirrored leather, slim stiletto heel, killer curves: sandals don’t really get much better than this, do they?
They certainly get CHEAPER than this, mind you. At £432, these are definitely an investment purchase, and if you like to make sure you get your money’s worth out of your shoes, you’ll be grateful for that go-with-anything gold upper, which will allow these to easily become your go-to dress sandals for years to come. Well, here’s hoping, anyway.
Gold may well go with anything (almost), but as regular readers will know, I particularly like the look of it with green. Well, it IS almost Christmas, isn’t it? Er, in three months time. Is that too soon to be busting out some green and gold? And do I really care if it IS?
THE STYLE: dress // bag // lipstick
This dress is certainly a show-stopper, but before you go getting too excited, be warned that it’s much shorter than it looks in this image. Mini skirts are gradually starting to push out the midi in terms of fashionable hem lengths: I’m disappointed to know my favourite style will be harder to find as a result of that, but it’s only fair for other styles to have their moment in the spotlight, too, and I know many of you are fans of the mini, so now’s the time to enjoy them!
But back to the shoes! These have a 5″ stiletto heel, but there’s also a very small platform to balance them out slightly. It’s not going to make a huge difference to how they’ll feel to walk in, but Giuseppe Zanotti isn’t a designer known for low-heeled shoes, so my guess is that if you’re buying a pair of heels like these, you’re probably not afraid of heights!
That kind of sling back never stays on my foot! I must have weirdly shaped feet or something.
