These boots may divide opinion to some extent.
Skulls motifs seem to go in and out of fashion every couple of years or so, although they can almost always be found somewhere. This season they’re to be found stuck to the stiletto heel of these Gianni Barbato ankle boots. I, of course, want to know what everyone thinks about that.
For myself, I wouldn’t buy these -not just because they cost $712, but because they’re just not my style at all. But I suspect those of you who appreciate a nice skull now and again may just love them. Do you?
BUY: Gianna Barbato ankle boots, $712
I appreciate a nice skull every now and then and I do quite like these. =P Though the skull looks a little tacky, in a plasticy sort of way – I’m not sure what I would have done differently in designing it, however.
I love them, but I’d love them more if they had diamonds in their eyes. It’s this whole “The Rescuers” thing. I’m obsessed with finding a huge mother-lovin’ diamond in a skull’s eye. Furthermore, the boots have got a great shape. I like them a LOT!

Oooh, pretty. I’m not a huge fan of skulls, and I think I’d prefer these with just a regular heel, but the shape is just perfect!

I like the skull (I don’t love it, though). It’s the shape of the shoe that bothers me. Too… I don’t know, pointy? I like my world softened a bit.
I’d have them, sans skull.

They are stunning, I love them. They are unique and fun, they would make a stunning addition to my skull collection!
