Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’, £456
For those of you who prefer your heels a little lower than the ones designers generally tend to give us, may I present Christian Louboutin’s ‘Paulina’ slingbacks?
These come in at a manageable 3.25″, but the red patent uppers, pointed toes and narrow stiletto heels make them anything but frumpy. These also make good use of the clear PVC sections which Louboutin has been using so much this year: it creates the effect of a much lower-cut upper than these shoes actually have, with the white trim and slingback appearing to almost float above the red. Classic in style, but contemporary in execution, these are also available in black, and are £456 at Neiman Marcus, with all sizes still available – at the time of writing, at least.
