French Connection ‘Dream’ black suede peep toe heels

I’ve known about these shoes for a while now, so I honestly have no idea why it’s taken me so long to get round to actually featuring them here. In fact, it was only when these ones, by Pour la Victoire, popped up on Shopbop last week that I suddenly remembered about them:

Now, obviously these shoes are too different to count as Shoe Deja Vu, but the scalloped shape of the upper, plus the mesh that surrounds it, is very similar on both, which is why the latter shoe made me think of the former. I much prefer the French Connection version: they’re actually the cheaper of the two, but I think they look more expensive, and I also think the scalloped edge is much better defined, and more of a “feature” than it is on the Pour la Victoire shoe.

With that said, both of these make very nice variations on the simple black pump/peep toe. Which do you prefer?
