Fornarina low-heeled ankle boots with bow, £134.39
Unlike the RED Valentino shoes I showed you earlier today, these boots really DO have a kitten heel. It’s my one reservation about them: I’ve mentioned before that I’m very much an “all or nothing” kind of girl when it comes to heels, and (with a few notable exceptions) like them to be either super-high, or totally flat. If these heels fell into the “skyscraper” category, I’d be finding them very hard to resist right now, because the studded bow around the ankle is the perfect touch on a plain black ankle boots – it dresses it up nicely, but doesn’t take it over the top, or make it unwearable.
With the kitten heel, I do still like these. As boots are more likely to be worn in bad weather than shoes are, it’s even more important for them to be easy to walk in, and these should certainly be far easier than a stiletto, while looking more elegant that chunkier, flatter heel.
What do you think: does the kitten heel work for you on these, or do you still prefer a higher or lower version?
