Good morning, everyone!
I hope you all had good long weekend (assuming you had some time off, of course!), filled with as much chocolate as you could wish for! I didn’t manage to save any shoes over the weekend, but I did wear a couple of my newer pairs, plus one of my favourites, so it wasn’t all lost. Here’s what my Easter looked like in shoes…
Saturday – Paul & Betty ‘Poupsy’ c/o Sarenza
On Saturday we went to visit some friends of ours who’ve just had a new baby. The weather was gorgeous, so I got to wear one of my favourite pairs of peep toes: these polka dot heels by Paul & Betty. I don’t normally go in for much pattern mixing, but the colour of these was a perfect match for my gingham skirt (a Primark bargain), so I couldn’t resist wearing them together! There are lots more photos here, if you’re particularly bored…
Sunday – Zara yellow pointed bow courts
On Easter Sunday, Terry’s brother and his fiancée threw a little party to celebrate Easter. I celebrated by wearing these bright yellow courts from Zara: another favourite pair from my collection!
Easter Monday – Guess ‘Ansina’ peep toes*
Finally, on the last day of the Easter break, we were lucky enough to get some more nice weather, so my new Guess peep toes got their inaugural outing, as did a new pair of Zara trousers. I can now report that that these are much more comfortable than you’d expect from the height: I obviously wouldn’t wear them to climb mountains, but they were totally fine for a small amount of walking around.
And now it’s back to work, and, in my case, back to the Shoe Challenge! I have to say, I’ve been really enjoying finally being able to wear my spring/summer shoes again, but the fact that I’ve acquired quite a few new pairs since the challenge started makes it a little harder for me to get round to wearing the shoes I’m supposed to be saving, because I keep being tempted by shiny new things that aren’t actually part of the challenge: whoops! Still: I have three more days to go before this week’s roundup: here’s hoping I can get at least a couple of pairs of shoes saved in that time!
P.S. Remember to follow me on Instagram for more shoe shots (and lots of other stuff, too!).
Love the yellow ones. Really gorgeous.
