Continuing my series on Christmas Party outfits, this week it’s the turn of the queens of occasion wear – Coast!
Coast are well know for their party outfits: they’re most often associated with wedding guest outfits (plus the occasional bridesmaid’s dress), but their party-perfect pieces make for great Christmas Party outfits, too. Here are some I’ve pulled together:
skirt // top // jacket // bag // shoes // headband
It wouldn’t be a Shoeper outfit roundup if there wasn’t at least one full skirt in it, now, would it? Coast have really excelled in this department over the past couple of years: their full midi skirts are some of the best on the high street, and this gold shimmer skirt is particularly glam. I also love the little faux fur coverup – such a nice touch for that walk from car to bar!
dress // coat // shoes // bag // ring // bracelet
The little black dress is a Christmas party classic: this one has been made a little more interesting thanks to the addition of the polka dot fabric around the neckline, but it’s still classic enough for just about anything. Also, I know a coat doesn’t play a huge role in your Christmas party outfit, but if your budget can stretch to it, a dressy coat can be a good investment – it definitely beats the feeling of getting all dressed up, and then throwing a shabby old overcoat over the top of your pretty dress!
sequin trousers // sweater // jacket // necklace // clutch
Finally, a Christmas party look for those events you need to look like you made a bit of effort for, without wearing a cocktail dress. If you’re not sure you can pull off the sequinned trousers, a soft grey sweater helps dress them down a little – this one has little rhinestones sewn onto the sleeves, to help stop it going too far in the opposite direction, and a gorgeous statement necklace will help, too.
