Christian Louboutin at Yoox.com

Christian Louboutin lilac peep toes,

Christian Louboutin lilac peep toes, £288

Did anyone else get an invite to The Outnet’s Christian Louboutin sale yesterday? I did, but despite some strong temptation, I managed to resist actually buying anything. Although the prices were around 40% less than retail in some cases, none of the styles I REALLY love right now were included, and I figured it would be more sensible to save up and buy the So Kates , which are my current favourites, than to splurge almost the same amount on another pair which I like less. I know, it’s not like me to be so sensible, but it does happen every once in a while!

Anyway, for those of you who didn’t make the sale (Or who DID, only to find everything already sold out in their size), you might want to check out Yoox.com instead. Yoox don’t often stock Christian Louboutin, but the brand does pop up there from time to time, and if you’re lucky, you can sometimes stumble across a bargain. As with The Outnet’s selection, these are available in limited sizes, and they tend to be older styles, which didn’t sell well when they were first released: i.e. if you’re looking for a cheap pair of Pigalles, or this season’s latest style, forget it. (Actually, if you’re looking for ANY cheap Louboutins, forget it: these may be sale prices, but they’re still not exactly what you’d call “cheap”.)

There are currently a few styles of Louboutin shoes and boots in stock: I won’t list them all, because there’s a good chance some of them will be sold out by the time you read this (Louboutin sales never last for long!), but if you want to check out the selection, you can view them here. Let’s not even talk about how disappointed I was to find that those lilac peep toes weren’t available in my size!

  • I managed to snag a spot but my bank balance remains safe for another day…. Did you spot those polka dot Pigalle 120’s though?? If they’d had those in my size it would have been a very different story! I’ve been saving for my first CL’s as a 30th B’day gift to myself, and want to go for a classic, but they could easily have swayed me! Not to be though. Now I’ll go back to dithering between classic Pigalles or a pair of So Kates – I’m really struggling to decide which I like best! If you do end up getting some you’ll have to let us know how they compare!
