Cheryl Cole launches shoe collection for Stylist Pick

By now you’ve probably all heard about Cheryl Cole’s upcoming shoe collection with Stylist Pick, but just in case you haven’t, Stylist Pick is a member’s only website which works in much the same way as Kim Kardashian’s ShoeDazzle: you pay a monthly fee (in this case £39.95), and every month you’re emailed a choice of shoes and accessories which have been selected for you by the company’s stylists. Like ShoeDazzle, you’re not obliged to buy anything if there’s nothing you fancy: you just skip the month, no money is taken from your account, and you can pick it up again the following month.

This December, Cheryl Cole will launch her first ever shoe collection, with the shoes being available exclusively through the Stylist Pick website, so I thought this was as good a time as ever to ask what you think of subscription-based shoe services? Are you a member of any? Are they something you think you’d use? Does Cheryl’s involvement make you more likely to sign up?

If the answer to the last two questions was “yes”, you can click here to join Stylist Pick: don’t forget to come back and tell me what you think, though!

  • I’m not sure I’m really understanding how this works… and I can’t play the video on their site as I’m at work.
Is each pair of shoes of accessories 39.95? Or are you just paying this for some apparent stylist to email you accessory suggestions and then you still have to pay for the shoes/ whatever on top of the 39.95? *confused*

    • I don’t really get it either. It seems strange that you would pay £39.95 a month for an email and access to shoes. Is it for some sort of exclusivity to buy shoes not available on the highstreet?

  • To be honest Cheryls involvement makes me less likely to sign

Cant say I love her style – its a bit forced!

  • I signed up to stylist pick at the end of August and have just ordered my 3rd pair of shoes!
They’ve always managed to pick a selection of shoes that tempt me and the quality you get for £40 is on a par with the £80 shoes you’d pick up from River Island.
Wasn’t quite as impressed with shoe dazzles selection so I cancelled that before making my first order

  • I’ve never even heard of a shoe subscription service! We’re a bit deprived down here at the bottom of the world. Not sure paying a monthly fee is my idea of useful though.

  • I was a member of Shoedazzle for some time and now I’m a member of their competitor JustFabulous. The concept is neat, a supposed stylist chooses a selection of 5-6 shoes and bags according to your style (you fill out a quiz with preferences), and you get a new selection each month. If you like something, you pay $39.95 to get it, if you don’t like anything that month you can request new selections or skip the month. You don’t have to order every month, but you have to skip unless you want to get charged.

It’s a neat concept if you don’t feel like browsing through thousands of shoes online.
