Although I normally tend to concentrate on the highest of heels, both here on Shoeperwoman.com and in terms of my own wardrobe, 2012 was a year in which I learned to love flats a little more than before. I wouldn’t call it a full-on love affair, and I don’t think anything will ever replace my beloved heels, but the awful weather frequently prompted me to put my beloved heels aside and slip into something I didn’t mind ruining in the rain, and flat shoes frequently filled that purpose.
While they’re still mostly a purely practical option for me, flat shoes can also be pretty and stylish, as the ones in the gallery below prove: take a look, and see if you can be converted too… (You’ll find the original posts here.)
A good pair of flats goes a long way.
