ASOS WALLS TWISTER Leather Mix Heeled Sandals, £50
At the time of writing, these shoes are sold out in every size – please don’t hate me if you love them.
Why am I showing you a pair of shoes I know you won’t be able to buy, I hear you ask? Well, for the simple reason that I DON’T know you won’t be able to buy them. My experience with ASOS (And I have considerable experience with ASOS, as my bank account and long-suffering husband can testify) is that when an item sells out as quickly as these did, it will normally be re-stocked at some point soon. Even if it’s not, there are constantly returns coming back, which are then added to the site again, so my best advice to those of you who desperately want these is to add them to your ASOS Wish List (You do HAVE an ASOS wishlist, don’t you? I’m not sure I’d be able to function without mine…) and keep checking back – there’s a good chance you’ll get lucky.
The other reason I’m showing you these however, is that it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a pair of shoes as unusual as these ones – especially from a high street brand that ISN’T Irregular Choice. I probably wouldn’t wear them myself (and especially not with the stripey socks shown in the last photo: I know there are plenty of people who can pull off that kind of look, but I’m definitely not one of them!), but I think they’re tons of fun, and the more I looked at them this morning, the more I started to convince myself that I loved – or at least liked – them.
Like them or not, I’m realistic enough to know they wouldn’t work with my wardrobe, buy hey – that just means there’s an even better chance of there being a pair for you!
