I know I’ve been writing about Alexander McQueen a lot recently, but these shoes were so unusual I couldn’t NOT show you them.
At first glance, I thought these were even more unusual than they actually are, because until I took a closer look, it seemed that one shoe was black and the other one was white. Thankfully, that’s not the case, and actually each shoe is black on the outside and white on the inside:
It’s an interesting effect, and the more I look at it, the more I think I like it. Not so with the peep toe, though: this particular shape has become characteristic of McQueen peep toes in recent months, and while I appreciate the attempt to be different, I think I’d rather stick with a regular old peep toe, as opposed to this “hole in the toe” effect. What do you think?
Alexander McQueen bi-coloured pumps, £370 at Net-a-Porter
These are cool! I’m with you on the hole in the toe thing, but still!
p.s. Thanks for not putting up 100 entries this past week – I was away on holidays and it would have been hard to complete my personal and undisclosed-until-this-moment mission of commenting on every single entry on your delightful shoe blog.
