I didn’t think I’d ever be swayed by the use of clear plastic on my favourite footwear brands, but at first glance, I didn’t even see the transparent panel on these Alaïa sandals: all I noticed was the amazing shape, and that’s exactly the way it should be.
The construction behind that fabulous wave becomes a little more obvious when you view these from the front:
On a foot, however, I suspect the clear panels will be invisible, leaving you with a shoe that looks amazing – although it just might have people wondering how on earth you’re keeping it on.
