As many of you know, I’m a huge fan of ASOS.com, and quite a large percentage of my wardrobe has come from there over the years. It’s unusual for me to visit the site and NOT find something to add to my wish list, bit this season has been a particularly good one, and ASOS have managed to produce a selection of amzing, 50s-inspired dresses, which might as well have my name written on them. Here are just a few of my favourites…
ASOS ‘Tiffany’ midi dress in floral jacquard, £85
This ‘Tiffany’ dress is by far my favourite, but it’s been available for a while now, and is all but sold out. My size is long gone, unfortunately (and it’s outwith my current budget, too, unfortunately: many of these dresses are from the higher-priced ASOS Collection label…), but I’ve kept it saved in my ASOS wish list anyway, because it does come in and out of stock again as people return items. I’ve no idea why anyone would want to return such a gorgeous dress, but hey, you never know your luck! This also comes in pink, and if your size is sold out, don’t despair: there’s also a skirt version, which is slightly less expensive, at £60.
ASOS floral prom dress, £85
This dress is more recent, and is still in stock in all sizes… for now. I love the floral print and full skirt: so pretty, and perfect for springtime!
ASOS Quilted Floral Pencil Dress, £55
If you prefer pencil/wiggle dresses, there are also tons of those around at the moment, too. I love the fabric of this green floral number, which is also used on a 50s-inspired skirt. And yes, naturally I want that, too!
Finally…
ASOS wiggle dress in summer days print, £48
ASOS have released this shape in quite a few different fabrics now: I own two of them, and would love to add this pretty blue-and-white floral print to my collection. Unfortunately I find the fit of these dresses a little awkward, and both of the ones I own have had to be altered, which puts me off buying any more – or not at full price, anyway! I actually got my last version of this dress for £12 on sale, so if this one ever drops in price by a similar amount, I think it would be hard to resist!
I have never heard of a wiggle dress? Love the Tiffany as well.
