The Shoeper Six: Glitter Party Shoes

Glitter party shoes are pretty ubiquitous at this time of year, with shoe designers more than happy to add a liberal dose of the shiny stuff to their footwear, in order to make them party-appropriate.

Not that I’m complaining, I hasten to add: glitter shoes are popular for a reason, and they’re a great way to add a bit of pizazz to your look, regardless of what you’re wearing with them. Today, I’ve rounded up six pairs of glitter party shoes, all of which are available to buy on the UK high street: the red Kurt Geiger pumps are the most expensive of the selection, at £270, but most come in at well under £100, leaving you some spare cash for a party dress to go with them.

Of these, my favourites have to be the gold Miss KG bow sandals, which I’ve featured here before: they’re true Shoe Kryptonite, and remind me of a Christmas present, wrapped up under the tree. (Oh, how I wish I could find these under MY tree this year!) Much to my surprise, however, I also have a soft spot for the gold River Island platforms, in the centre of the image. Chunky platforms aren’t at all the kind of thing I’d usually go for, but these are all kinds of fabulous, and if you’re going to buy glitter party shoes, you may as well go all-out, don’t you think?

Finally, I have to give an honorable mention to the green pointed courts at the bottom of the image: they’re my favourite colour, and also happen to be one of the most popular colours of the season, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding something to wear with them!
