Some days it feels like it actually still IS the 80s, doesn’t it? These boots help add to that impression, with the flash of colour at the ankle, but I think they’re a lot more palatable than many of the other 80′s fashion influences we’ve been seeing around for the past couple of years. Actually, I may even really like the black version with the bright blue flash: but then again, I might not. They’re one of those things I just can’t quite make my mind up about.

These are from New Look’s Limited Collection, and, as such, they’re a little more expensive than most New Look footwear, at £70. What do you think of them?

I like them but I don’t think they’d be terribly flattering. Lack of ankle definition is rarely good, the calf area looks huge too

I totally agree. They just look like they would give the wearer instant “cankles,” which is kind of the opposite of what most women go for.

i can see why you like them…they do look super-heroey :)
i can also see why you aren’t sure about them too…they may be more shoeperwoman’s dream boot from 1987 than 2009

Those of us who lived through the 80′s the first time around have no desire to go back.
