♥ Valentino Couture red satin bow sandals, £555
I thought we may as well start off the week with a good ol’ dose of Shoe Kryptonite, even although the temptation presented by these shoes is almost too much for me.
I’ve discussed the perfection that is the Valentino bow at length, so I won’t bore you too much here: I think the photos speak for themselves, anyway! What I will say, is that the sandal version of this shoe is every bit as beautiful as the pumps – maybe even more so, actually – and the red satin gives these a wonderfully festive feel, too. These are EXACTLY the kind of bows I’d like to find under the Christmas tree, but if your Father Christmas isn’t prepared to stretch to £555, they’d also make amazing party shoes for the upcoming season.
How to save Valentino’s red bow sandals?
Although red is one of my favourite shoe colours, it’s a colour I can really only get away with on shoes themselves – or occasionally on skirts/trousers. For those of you who can easily rock red, however, I’d be really tempted to go to town with these, and pick a stand-out dress to match the show stopper shoes. Maybe something a little bit like Lindybop’s ‘Serena’ dress, which has tons of old-fashioned glamour, and a bold red colour to go with the shoes:
