Hi!

I have recently moved to England from Canada, and just before I moved over here I got engaged!  I am only living here for a year, and I got my dress back in Canada, but I really want to get my shoes and purse while I am here – the only thing, is I am not really sure where to go.  My dress is diamond white silk taffeta, full length; here is what it looks like.

I love the idea of a retro-style shoe, either in my white colour, or a pale yellow (which is my colour), or even a gold. I don’t want crazy high heels, as I don’t want to fall up the aisle.  I was hoping you could give me some recommendations!  I figured that you, above anyone else, would be able to give me some advice on the current shoe markets.

Thanks!
Kathryn

Kathryn also told me that she was looking for shoes under £100, and with a heel of under 3″. While the price isn’t a problem, finding pretty wedding shoes with a lower heel sometimes can be. My recommendation is a label called Bourne. Their ‘Jasmine’ shoes (above) come in white or gold, have a retro feel to them and have a heel height of 2.5 inches. They’re currently on sale at Viva la Diva for £100, so they come in right on budget, too, although be aware that this brand is normally a little more expensive than that – these were originally £135.

Their ‘Janie’ shoe also has a low heel, and is rather fabulous:

It’s £104 at Viva la Diva.

These two styles would be my choice, but I’m going to open this one up to the readers too, to see if we can find some more! Any shoe suggestions for Kathryn?
