Rupert Sanderson ‘Gloria’ metallic leather-trimmed suede sandals, £625
This is ‘Gloria’, and isn’t she, well, glorious?
Mint green and silver is one of my favourite colour combinations, but it’s not one I tend to see very often, which makes it feel quite unusual. There’s something very delicate and fresh about it, and the two colours are muted enough to make it reasonably versatile, too, which is always a good thing when you’re talking about £600 shoes, don’t you think?
These particular shoes are by Rupert Sanderson, and are a gorgeous suede/leather mix, with the cut-out upper and slim straps creating a bit of a vintage feel. They have a 4.5″ stiletto heel, and a glamorous, expensive look: also a good thing when we’re talking about shoes that will cost almost as much as your rent!
Net-a-Porter suggest these would look best with pastel colours, and while I can’t disagree with that, I’ve chosen to style them here with something I love: the little white (or, in this case, off-white) dress.

Black dresses are often cited as the go-to item for any situation, but while they won’t work for quite EVERY occasion, I’ve always preferred lighter colours, which I find more flattering to my vampire-complexion. A white dress also effortlessly brings a whole lot of drama to your look, and I’ve never been one to resist The Drama. This particular dress looks shorter than I’d normally wear, but I love the structured shape and nipped-in waist, while the colour will allow you to wear any colour of accessory you want.

Oooh, lovely. I like your choice of outfit too. Perhaps a touch of the subtle mint in a handbag or air accessory?
