Scholl Party Feet Ultra Slim Gel Cushions

scholl-gel-cushionsIt doesn’t matter how beautiful your shoes are : if they’re not comfortable and you can’t walk in them, you’re going to look ridiculous – and I’m sure we’ve all seen the truth of that statement in action at some point or another. I’ve lost count of the number of well-shod women I’ve seen hobbling along looking utterly miserable in uncomfortable shoes.

Scholl’s Party Feet gel cushions have been around for a while now, and are excellent when it comes to relieving that horrible stinging sensation you get in the ball of your foot when you’ve been wearing high heels for two long. They’re slim, as the name suggests, and although they have a hint of glitter through them, to help them live up to the “party” part of the name, they’re unobtrusive, too.

As well as helping keep the soles of your feet comfortable, these can also make shoes that are slightly too big fit better. I’ve been wearing them inside my Christian Louboutin Mary Janes which, as some of you will recall, are a half-size bigger than I’d like them to be, and the gel soles are just the right size to push the foot back enough to make the shoes fit. They’re £4.88 and available from Scholl.

  • I was looking at these in Superdrug and was wondering if anyone had tried them. I was bought a generic set a while ago and all they did was wrinkle up on me which was more annoying than stingy soles tbh. These sound like the real deal though, and I’m loving the idea they can make shoes fit better. I’m a 6.5 and normally go for size 7’s (like you I think better slightly big than too tight), these could be a god send!

  • You can also get leather half insoles. I used to work for a shoe store that sold them, though I never did buy any of them. I’d think they’d last longer and not slip as much as the gel ones. I’ve tried the gell ones and all they do for me is make my feet slip around in the toe.

You can get the leather ones at Naturalizer stores (though I’m not entirely sure if naturalizer is a North American store or not).
