RED Valentino silver glittered leather pumps, £302
I love the fact that the soles of shoes are becoming almost as imaginative as their uppers these days. These RED Valentino pumps, for instance, have a bright pink sole (a colour which is picked up in the trim around the footbed) with gold lettering: OK, it’s a detail that will only be visible to you, and to anyone who happens to be standing directly behind you, and staring at your shoes, but these shoes are the type that are destined to get a LOT of stares, so maybe it’ll be noticed by more people than you might think.
The soles aren’t the only thing worth staring at here, though: in fact, I think the upper will probably do a pretty good job of stealing attention away from them altogether. I’ve always loved sweetheart vamps, which tend to look every bit as sweet as the name implies. This one, however, also manages to be pretty sexy, thanks to its low-cut shape, and the curves at each side. These are shoes that are stunning from every single angle – and that’s without even mentioning the top-to-toe silver glitter.
Glitter shoes are such a staple of the evening-shoe world that I’m sure no one needs any suggestions on how to style them: in fact, one of the main points of a shoe like this is that it goes with everything, and adds a giant dose of glamour to any look. When I saw this dress at The Outnet, however, I knew the shoes had met their match…

Of course, you don’t NEED to match your dress to the trim on your shoes. If you happen to find a dress that’s the perfect match, though, well, it just might be hard to resist doing it anyway…
I am a big fan of RED Valentino. Gorgeous.
