Prada rose front peep toes in aubergine

So, the shoe sales here right now are good. Like, really good. Which is why I went out to buy some picture frames and a new rug for the living room yesterday afternoon and returned with these Prada peep toes, which were just too pretty and too ON SALE to be left in the store.

(Note: I didn’t but them in the DIY store. The sales aren’t THAT good.)

The photos don’t do these justice, really, because one of the nicest things about them is the colour: they look black here, but I’d probably call them aubergine, although that’s not quite right either. It’s a great colour for a shoe, though, because it looks different depending on what colour it’s next to, meaning I’ll be able to wear them with almost anything.

These seem to come up quite large, and I had to go down a size to the 36: the leather is really soft, though, and will soften more, so although they’re about as comfortable as a pair of stilettos can be at the moment, I think they’re going to feel even better after a couple of wears.

And now I’m buying no more shoes until Christmas. At least.

  • I have to admit, I was thinking about how you manage to buy so many shoes… but now I see that even you have your limits.. waht a relief! I would love to have a closer look at all your shoes ( I’m a 4 too :P).. these ones are so lovely; cute and also totally wearable to office or something official.

My dog is staring at Rubin again, by the way…

  • Oh okay, I asked about these shoes on your blog but now I see them more clearly and… I wonder if the Prada store in Melbourne has them on sale, I might have to go and check them out today. Stunning.

  • Colour – great! Design – Awesome! PRADA – Even Awesomer! But it’s the fecal rose again *facepalm*…

    • I’m not really sure why some stranger’s taste in shoes/clothes/whatever bothers you so much, Victoria, but if the fact that I like certain things annoys you enough that you have to keep going on, and on, and on about it (both here and at The Fashion Police, in multiple comments complaining about how you don’t like my taste), I’m sure you know where the “back” button is on your browser. Sorry, but I’m not going to refrain from buying shoes I like just because someone on the internet doesn’t like flowers. As far as I’m aware, no one is forcing you to keep on reading and commenting on a site featuring things you don’t like.

  • You went out to buy picture frames and a rug and came home with shoes? Love it! Almost as good as the time my ex husband went out to buy milk and came home with a chair.

    Aubergine is a fabulous colour.

  • first christian loubutons (haha I cant spell in french) on sale and then you PRADA shoes on sale! I have to say you are one of the luckiest women in the world, truly a “shoeperwomen”. I’m very jealous ( as I assume many women are). Just make sure Rubin keeps his teeth away from them because the death of those shoes would be a real tragedy.

Hope to hear yr good advice soon! Thanks in advance. πŸ™‚
