Miss Selfridge ‘Surely’ black and white heart loafers, £48
It took me a few seconds to work out where, exactly, the “heart” mentioned in the product description of these was, but of course, there it is, right on the very front of the shoe:
“Loafer” is a word that’s usually used in the same sentence as the word “sensible”, and sensible shoes just aren’t normally mentioned by me at all. These ones made the cut, because even I wouldn’t call a 5″ heel anything like “sensible”, and I really love both the black and white colourway and the heart/bow combination on the vamp. It all combines to create a very Autumnal kind of shoe: is it just me, or does anyone else always connect loafers with that “back to school” feeling?
