Like so many of Jerome C. Roussea‘s shoes, these silver glitter pumps have a slightly “unreal” feel about them, somehow, as if they belong in a shoe museum, rather than on someone’s feet. They also have a rather doll-like quality, which could just be down to the angle of the photo, but which may also have something to do with the low vamp and generally “dainty” look.
Now, none of these things would normally attract me to a shoe – especially one that’s been liberally doused in silver glitter, into this bargain – but I actually love these. They look to me like they’re right out of a fairytale, and they’ve also managed to pull off the difficult task of being glittery without being tacky.
The downside, of course, is that for shoes that probably won’t end up getting a huge amount of use, these are pretty pricey, even although they’re on sale: they’re down to £298, and you can click here to buy them from Spartoo.
I don’t like that little tail in the back but otherwise there is something very easy-going about them.
They are too expensive but I love them.
I saw these at shopbop in a white glitter – kind of unusual, but very pretty! The white ones remind me of snow 🙂
