J Crew Etta pumps, from £196
J Crew’s ‘Etta’ pumps come in lots of different colours and styles, but I’ve picked my three favourites from the current crop to show you here. These shoes have a heel which is both lower and chunkier than I’d go for personally, and although it’s probably more comfortable than a stiletto, I think this kind of shoe can be very hard to wear without it looking matronly.
Do the colourful uppers, cute bows and sequins make up for the very sensible shape? I’m going to let you be the judge of that one…
