Christian Louboutin Toerless Muse Suede Triple-Strap Pumps, £670
Red or gold, gold or red? Tough choice, huh? And I WOULD say “both”, but, well, they’re £670, so maybe not. Part of me curses Christian Louboutin for unfailingly managing to always choose my favourite shoe colours, but the other part can only thank him for it – I may not be able to buy them all, but at least they’re nice to look at.
As for these shoes, I always hate using the word “sexy” to describe shoes – it always sounds so cringey and cheesy to me, somehow – but nevertheless, that was the word that came to mind when I saw these. I think it’s the straps that do it: those thin, delicate straps going all the way up to the ankle are what gives this shoe its wow factor, and although I suspect they’d be a bit of a pain to get on and off (Maybe I just have particularly clumsy fingers, but small, fiddly buckles – and lots of them – have never been my favourite shoe feature, it has to be said), I also think it would definitely be worth it. And maybe you wouldn’t actually WANT to take them off once you were wearing them, anyway?
These have a 4″ stiletto heel, which actually makes them lower than I’d have assumed at first glance, and hopefully easier to walk on, too. They’re already starting to sell out at Saks Fifth Avenue, though, so if you like them, you know what to do!
P.S – As Monday is a bank holiday here in the UK and Memorial day in the US, I’ll be taking the day off. Have a wonderful holiday weekend (assuming you have some time off, too!), and don’t forget to check back on Tuesday for more beautiful shoes!
I think another word for describing heels, such as these is alluring. Once you know they exist, you’d do almost anything with in your means to have at least one pair of your own.
