These shoes are a bit of a strange juxtaposition of two styles: the satin, polka dot uppers suggest evening wear to me, but the brogue detailing on the toe says “stroll in the country”. Still, I guess I have to give Faith some credit here for doing something a bit different: with a satin upper, it would’ve been very easy for them to have simply gone with the usual bow/jewel embellishment, and as nice as that would’ve been, well, they say a change is as good as a rest, don’t they?
Is it a change that works, though? I wasn’t quite sure at first, but I love the colours (and of course, the print) on the upper, and that’s good enough for me.
If it’s good enough for you, too, you can find these at Debenhams, where they’re £60: click here to buy them.
I didn’t notice the “brogue” until you pointed it out. I would buy these anyway.
Very nice. Could add flair to a business suit. And would work for evening, too.
