Velvet isn’t normally a fabric I’m drawn to on shoes, but these Brian Atwood peep toes have won me over. The velvet uppers are covered with patent leather spots, which look like droplets of oil or water on the black uppers, and create a really interesting effect. There’s also a tear-shaped cut-out on the vamp, which continues the theme, and helps make these so much more special than an ordinary pair of black peep toes.
Sadly, they’re much more expensive, too: they cost £476, and you can buy them at Colette.
They’re pretty!
