Platform polka dot sandals from Dorothy Perkins

poka dot platforms Platform polka dot sandals from Dorothy Perkins

Anyone who’s a regular visitor to both this site and Dorothy Perkins will probably have been expecting these to pop up here sooner or later: I mean, they’re practically jumping up and down, shouting, “Shoeperwoman! Shoperwoman! Over here!” aren’t they?

Well, here they are, and obviously I love both the blue and coral colours, and the polka dot platforms and bows. If I could make just one small change, I’d have skipped the chunky ankle strap, and make them slip-ons instead, but I guess the strap does add to the chunky look these have got going on.

What do you think? They’re only £40, and you can click here to buy them at Dorothy Perkins.

Miu Miu green polka dot satin twill platform sandals

If you happened to look at Net-a-Porter this morning (what do you mean you don’t look at Net-a-Porter first thing in the morning, every morning? What’s wrong with you?), you’re probably not the least bit surprised to see these Miu Miu sandals pop up here, are you? The green colour, the polka dot pattern: and yes, sure, I’ve actually shown you the shoe before, but it’s not like that’s ever stopped me before, has it?

These are the perfect, Shoeperwoman-approved summer shoes, and they’re currently £295. Why do all the great shoes come out in January, when my budget’s tighter than the waistband of my post-Christmas jeans?

Polka dot wedge sandals from New Look

Indulge me, if you will, with just one more pair of polka dot shoes this week. I can’t promise there won’t be more of them NEXT WEEK, of course, but hey, at least you have the weekend to recover from all these dots I’ve putting in front of your eyes, hey?

I kinda love these. (I’ll just let you pick yourselves up off the floor after that announcement, shall I?) I don’t just love them for the print, either. I’m also keen on the cork heel (which just screams “summer” to me), and the criss-cross straps, which help give them a sleeker shape than can often be the case with the cork-soled wedge. Oh, and the price. Jusy £25 gets you this little slice of cute kitsch-ness. Go here to choose your colour.

Tabitha Simmons red polka dot slingback shoes

You know, I’m really growing to love Tabitha Simmons. In a strictly platonic, admirer-of-her-shoes kind of way, I mean. These are the third pair of her shoes I’ve featured here this year, and the second to be completely covered in polka dots. You can see why I like this designer, can’t you?

Add the red uppers, gorgeous stiletto heel and small platform to the general dottiness, and I’m sold. The shoes, on the other hand are NOT sold – or at least not to me – because they cost £570. If you want them to be sold to you, head over to Net-a-Porter to claim them.

Miss Selfridge pink suede platform peep toes with polka dot rosette

miss selfridge pink peep to Miss Selfridge pink suede platform peep toes with polka dot rosetteI first spotted these shoes a few weeks ago, in some kind of promotional material for Miss Selfridge, and I’ve been waiting for them to appear on the website ever since, just so I could show them to you!

I think these are perfect Spring/Summer shoes, and the blend of hot pink suede and polka dot embellishment makes them lots of fun, and all you’d need to make an old pair of jeans or little black dress look instantly more interesting. These are only £45, and are one of a few styles I have my eyes on at Miss Selfridge this season. Get them here.

Office Betsey Bow pink polka dot court shoes

Pink! Polka dots! Bows! It would be hard to imagine a more unashamedly “girlie” shoe than these Betsey Bow shoes, by Office, which are clearly designed to allow us to fully indulge in sugary-sweet shoey goodness. Or badness, as the case may be: we all know too much sugar is bad for us, and these will be way too sweet to be wholesome for some of you. (And for me, too, if I’m completely honest.)

For those who just squeed in delight at the very sight of them, however, take a look here: they’re £60, and are also available in a rose print.

Brian Atwood’s ‘Eva’ polka dot bow sandals

brian atwood eva Brian Atwoods Eva polka dot bow sandalsDue to a complicated, and yet strangely dull, series of events, I’m actually writing this post on Friday night. Now, you may think that looking at shoes might be a fairly pleasant way to spend your Friday night, but I’m here to tell you that that is not always the case.

That’s why I went to Brian Atwood’s website: just to cheer myself up. That’s also why I’m showing you these ‘Eva’ sandals: not because I’d wear them, because I almost certainly wouldn’t, but because I really enjoy looking at them. It’s the polka dots. I never could resist the polka dots…

Celebrity Shoes: Cheryl Cole in Chalotte Olympia’s ‘Greta’ linen polka dot platforms

chrlotte olympia platforms Celebrity Shoes: Cheryl Cole in Chalotte Olympias Greta linen polka dot platforms

I love Cheryl Cole. Even when she’s pulling a face, as she is in the photo you’ll find under the jump (it was the only one that showed the shoes!) she’s still so super-cute,  isn’t she ?

Cheryl is another celebrity who takes the high-heeled approach to travel (or at least for the cameras on arrival, anyway), choosing these Charlotte Olympia platforms to arrive at LAX yesterday. When I first spotted these shoes a Net-a-Porter, I thought they were cute, but very unwearable – and I’m not a huge fan of what I’ve come to think of as “the half-platform” effect – but while this is admittedly not the clearest photo of them in use, they actually look much nicer on than I’d thought they would.

These are currently in the Net-a-Porter sale for £290.50, but sizes are very limited.  What do you think of them?
