Shoeperwomans’ Net-a-Porter shoe sale picks

Net-a-Porter added further items, and further reductions, to their sale this morning, which means it’s a dangerous time for credit cards and bank accounts across the land. In fact, every time Net-a-Porter has a sale, my bank manager hides under his desk and refuses to come out until it’s over.

I’ve already generously donated some funds to Kurt Geiger this month, so I’d be sitting on my hands right now if I didn’t need them to type this post – but for those of you with money to burn, here are some of my top picks from the shoe sale.

(Look away now if you don’t want to be led into temptation!)

I’m kicking off with Miu Miu’s fabulous glitter leather loafers (above). These were already comparatively well-priced for designer shoes (by which I mean they weren’t remotely cheap, but compared to some shoes I could mention, they seemed almost reasonable) at the original price of £370, but now those of you who wear sizes 39.5, 40 or 40.5 can snap them up for £259. I’ll try not to be too jealous.

Balmain’s pricing is so outrageously high that their pieces are almost always drastically reduced at sale time. Again, that doesn’t make them “cheap” but it does tend to bring them roughly in line with other designer brands. I showed you these silk button-up boots back when they were £850. They’re now half price, at £425, so if you’re a Balmain fan, they may be just a little more within your reach.

Roughly the same price-drop for these stunning green Fendi pumps, which are down to £435.

There’s no commentary required from me here, so I’ll just note that Giuseppe Zanotti’s crystal bow pumps are down to £465. I’m trying really hard not to notice that they’re still available in my size…

Finally, I leave you with the perfect nude and black patent pumps from Brian Atwood, which are down to £318, and selling out fast. Not to worry, though – there are lots more where these came from, so click here to shop the shoe sale, and don’t forget to come back and tell me what you bought!

  • You have the hardest job in the world. If my job involved having to trawl through retail websites and designer footwear for ages I reckon it’d take about 3 days before I was found huddled in a corner surrounded by credit cards and alternately whimpering and laughing manically.

    • Seriously, it’s horrendous – every month I promise myself I’m going to save my money, because there’s nothing I really need… and then every month I find all this stuff that I absolutely have to have! And I can’t just not look at it either, because I have to update the sites – tough job, but hey, someone’s gotta do it!
