Jeffrey Campbell ‘Meryl’ flower sandals, £115
Guys! Guys! It happened again! For the second time in the past couple of months, I’m writing a post about Jefrey Campbell, and it’s not from the point of view of “Can you believe anyone would actually wear these shoes?” It just goes to show, you should never discount a brand – you never know what they’re going to come up with next, and they just might surprise you!
Having said that, while these are 100x closer to my taste than the clumpy flatforms I normally associate with Jeffery Campbell, I’m not sure I’d actually buy them, either. I do like them, but there’s maybe just a few too many floral embellishments there for me to actually want to wear them – it’s quite a fussy look, and I don’t really DO “fussy”. I could probably be persuaded by these, though, because the more I look at them, the more I find myself thinking, “Well, maybe…” and “I bet they’re much nicer in real life than they are in this photo.”
I bet they ARE, too. In fact, I bet they’re the kind of shoes that will easily turn heads and have people asking where you bought them. They’re super-sweet (maybe even a little TOO sweet for some tastes), and are basically the kind of shoes that are just begging to be worn with some kind of fabulous, floaty dress. Do you have a dress like that? Because I do. And although I won’t be rushing out to buy these shoes, I’d definitely give them a whirl with it, if they were to magically appear on my shoe shelves one day. If only that would ACTUALLY start happening to me…
What do you think? Would you wear Meryl, or is she a little bit too frilly/girlie for you?
Ooooooh, prrrettyyyy!!
