Carvela ‘Assemble’ point toed bow pumps in light blue

pale blue patent pumps with bows

A Valentino-esque bow with an almost Tiffany-blue upper? Well, I don’t mind if I do…

These shoes scream “Easter” to me, and, more specifically, “Easter eggs”. I guess that’s possibly a bit of an odd connection, but something about the colour and the bows really reminds me of chocolate eggs… and now I REALLY want some chocolate eggs, so let’s move on from that idea, shall we?

We don’t really celebrate Easter in our house (other than with the eating of vast quantities of chocolate, that is. Whoops, so much for not talking about it!) so there’s not much call to get dressed up for it. That’s never stopped me before, however, and I can see these shoes as part of the perfect Easter outfit: they’d look fabulous with most pastels, and have a very “ladylike” feel about them, which would make me want to add a cute little hat and maybe some gloves, too. Over the top? Maybe. But awesome, all the same…

These are also available in black, but really, where’s the fun in that?

  • Oh my gosh these are the most beautiful shoes I have seen in a very long time! That colour, that bow, that shape! I’m in shoe love. Amber, I will now be coveting these shoes for the rest of my days.

  • I don’t normally like pointed toes on shoes but these have gone to the top of my ‘must have’ list. I LOVE the colour, and the bow, and the generally dainty feel. Beautiful 🙂

  • I like to look at them (a lot), but I wouldn’t wear them, simply because of the colour. I wish they’d made them in bright yellow…

  • I guess it’s the little Southern Girl in me. These remind me of the shoes EVERYONE and their dog (except the males) wore to church year round in the 90s. They just scream CHURCH SHOES. As much as I love every element individually (except maybe them being patent), put them together and all I can see are little old lady shoes, even if I don’t know a single old lady who’d wear these.
