Tweed Mary Janes with bow by Eley Kishimoto

Eley Kishimoto is one of my favourite shoe brands, so I surprised even myself when I realised I’d never featured them here before. Time to rectify that, I think, so here’s a pair of tweed Mary Janes, which I found in the sale section of Far Fetch, where they’re retailing for £177.

These may be sale stock, but the tweed uppers make them very appropriate for the current season, and I’m pleased to find that the heel is actually silver, not perspex as I’d first thought. I would actually like these even more if the heel had been black patent to match with the bow and Mary Jane strap, but this is a brand which prides itself on the unexpected, and the dash of silver is in keeping with that.

  • I ordered these shoes in May 2009… when I saw them on internet I loved them, and I still do, but I returned them because the bow seemed very very big when actually wearing them… what of course I didn’t do, since I returned them… I must say I still love them, but as I said, when looking at the bow on internet, it’s OK, but putting them on, another thing… 🙁 Lovely combination, though…
