Boden flat jewelled pointed pumps, £129
These shoes, you guys: THESE SHOES.
These shoes… are flats, sure. They’re quite possibly the nicest flats I’ve ever seen, though (With the possible exception of Christian Louboutin’s ‘Pigalle’ spiked flats, which are pretty much my “fantasy flat”. Or they WERE until these came along, anyway…), which is why I’m taking the rare step of declaring a non-heeled shoe to be Shoe Kryptonite. I think they deserve it, don’t you?
These shoes are also £129, which… yeah. Well, they were never going to be cheap, obviously (And Boden isn’t known for its bargain-bin prices at the best of times), but that’s a lot of money for a pair of flats – for me, anyway. In their defence, however, they look every bit as expensive as they are, and Boden may not cheap, but they tend to issue a lot of discount codes, so perhaps there’ll be opportunities to knock a little bit off that price tag. I certainly hope so: that heavily jewelled upper has such a decadent feel to it that it’s totally won my heart. They’re one of the few pairs of flats I’ve seen which have had true “wow” factor, and we all love a bit of “wow”, don’t we?
These come in black or gold: I like love both options, but if I had to pick one, I’d always go for gold: not only is it that bit more versatile, in this case it’s a little more special, too.
What to wear with Boden’s jewelled pumps:
♥ Peter Pilotto skirt ♥ Alice + Olivia top ♥ Dune clutch ♥ Ermanno Scervino bracelet
I can’t afford the shoes, so I figured I may as well style them with some other pieces I can’t afford either: outfit Kryptonite, to go with the Kryponite shoes!
I’d go for the gold too, but it’s not really an easy choice.
I for real think I need to buy those gold ones for my wedding. I can’t wear heels (medical issue) and I’ve been having trouble finding flats that felt special enough. These might be just right.
