Ted Baker ‘Mayter’, £79.99
I know what you’re thinking: “Haven’t we seen this one already?”
Umm, yes. Yes, we have. I bought the brown glitter version of these shoes back in January, and ended my review of them with the following line:
“I meanwhile, am now trying to decide what my next Ted Baker Mayter colour should be. I have a feeling this won’t be my last pair in this style, somehow…”
Well, my instinct on that turned out to be correct, and I can now reveal that the answer to the “which colour next?” question is… pink. And black. Spartoo describe the colour of these as “nude”, but for me it’s very definitely pink – and a lovely, delicate pink, too.
I don’t really have a whole lot to add about these shoes that I didn’t mention in my previous review, so I will simply add that I think these are more or less the perfect party/special occasion shoes: elegant and stunning, but still very easy to wear. I have a few pair of Ted Baker shoes now, and the brand never disappoints: I love the details like the gold sole and insole, and when it comes to bows, well, they’re just very hard to beat.
In terms of sizing, I went for my usual size and, as I noted in my previous review, I found them to be true to size, but very narrow: I’ve not had an issues with the size I picked, but I suspect some people might find it more comfortable to size up with this one.
I bought these using a gift code from Spartoo, who have just opened a new warehouse in the UK: their shoes previously shipped from France, which meant waiting at least a week for most orders. This time, however, my shoes were with me in two business days, which is pretty fast. If you fancy grabbing a pair of these, however, you’re going to have to be equally fast, because they’re currently on sale, and available in limited sizes.
They’re gorgeous!! I can see how you weren’t able to resist. 🙂
I think I (only just) prefer the glitter version but that bow! It is indeed wonderful.
