So, it’s going to be a particularly hectic holiday season in the Shoeper household this year, so I’m going to be downing tools a little earlier than usual, and, rather than continuing to post over the holiday, I’m going to be taking a short blogging break.
Before I go, though, I just wanted to give you a quick heads-up about some changes coming to ShoeperWoman.com in the new year. If you’re a regular reader, you’ve probably noticed my posting schedule has gotten a bit lighter over the past six months or so. That’s partly due to lack of time, unfortunately, but I have to admit, it’s also been partly due to lack of inspiration. While I still love shoes, and probably always will, I’ve been finding I just don’t have as much to say about them these days as I used to, and, a lot of the time, I find that most retailers tend to have carry the same kind of styles, so there’s not really a huge variety of footwear out there, either.
Going forward, then, you’ll notice that the content you’ll find here will be less shoe-centric, and have more of a fashion/lifestyle bias. I’ll still be writing about shoes, but I’d rather be able to only write about the styles that really deserve a post, rather than forcing myself to sit for hours, scrolling through various retail websites, until I find something that’s probably not really worth writing about, anyway. I realise this is a big change (albeit not a totally new direction for the site), and while I hope you’ll stick around for it, I’ll obviously understand if you don’t.
So, with all of that said, all that remains is for me to wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a happy Shoe New! I’ll see you on the other side…
