Mel Pop VIII ballet flats, £28.79
Uh-oh. Looks like Mel have done it again, with yet another selection of adorable ballet flats that are proving impossible for me to resist. I already have the black version of these, and am now eyeing up the white and red version, and telling myself that there’s no such thing as “too many shoes”. Well, there isn’t REALLY, I guess – not when they’re shoes like these anyway, because our damp climate means that I get a lot of use out of the selection of jelly flats in my collection – in fact, I’d go so far as to say that they’re among the most-worn shoes in my collection, thanks to their practicality when it comes to walking the dog, or running errands on a rainy day.
These shoes are very similar in concept to the ‘Pop Heart’ flats of last year, but the shape of the heart is slightly different, giving them a more elegant feel. As I said, they also come in plain black, but if flats aren’t you think, there’s also this heeled version:
I have these in black and in nude, and am telling myself I really don’t need another pair, but then again, like I said: you can never REALLY have too many pairs of shoes. Can you?
