If you follow me on Instagram, you may already have seen these photos, but if not, here are some quick shoe shots, including a couple of new acquisitions – whoops!
So, as you can see, my Vivienne Westwood/Melissa collection got a couple of new members this week. Despite all of my promises that I wouldn’t let myself be tempted by the latest collection, I had a Spartoo gift card just waiting to be spent, and when these popped up in the “new in” section, I just couldn’t help myself. I’m not going to do a full review of these shoes, because I’ve written about them so many times now, but suffice to say that I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving them, especially when there are always new colours and designs being released!
The heart shoes are actually NOT a new colour – Melisssa have released these before, as part of their Vivienne Westwood collaboration – but the red and white combination is one of the few colours I DIDN’T already own, and have always loved, so I was easily persuaded that why, yes, I DID need another pair of heart-front shoes. I’ve mentioned before that my Lady Dragon ‘Cherries’ shoes are probably the style I wear most often, and I think that has a lot to do with the white upper, which works with absolutely everything. I suspect the same will be true of this version, so although they’re exempt from the current Shoe Challenge, I’m sure it won’t be too long before I wear them!
As for the second pair, these are the ‘Auora’ bow front shoes, and they were actually a bit of a suprise, because, going by the photos, I’d assumed the uppers to be white. In real life, however, they’re more of an oyster;/beige shade: they’ll be just as versatile as white (And I like the colour just as much), but when you see them next to the other pair, there’s a definite difference in the colour. I still love them, though!
The other two pairs of shoes you’ve already seen: the Alice + Olivia ‘Gigi’ peep toes I reviewed here (I think I should probably stop buying red and white heart-print shoes now. I mean, really…), and the last pair are my beloved Christian Louboutin ‘N. Prive’ peep toes. Unfortunately I didn’t actually get to wear them on the day I took this photo, but they’re sitting on top of my new ChicWish skirt, which had arrived that day, and which I couldn’t resit putting next to these shoes, are they’re both similar shades of purple. I’m sure you’ll be seeing both of these again at some point this year: I just need the weather to warm up, or someone to give me an excuse to wear them!
I have my eyes on the first pair only in blue with a pink/purple bow. They’re so cute!
ack they’re all sooo pretty!
