High heel shoes are ShoeperWoman’s favourite style.
Other shoes might have their place, but nothing beats a great pair of high heels, whether they be stilettos, platforms or any of the many other styles that make up the wonderful world of high heels: here are some of the high heels shoes I’m currently coveting…
Why heels?
Good question. The women (and men) who love high heel shoes face constant questions about just WHY they love the style – and how on earth they can walk in them. If you wear high heel shoes on anything like a regular basis, I’m sure you know what I mean: those who DON’T love the style are absolutely aghast at the idea of balancing on a 5″ stiletto, and can even be a little disdainful about them, describing them as “torture devices” and assuming those who wear them must be empty-headed and vain: because why else would you force your feet into such uncomfortable-looking shoes?
Well, the fact is that high heel shoes might LOOK uncomfortable, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they ARE uncomfortable. I wrote a post on how to walk in high heels here, but for those of us who are used to wearing them, walking in high heel shoes is really no big deal – in fact, once you’re used to wearing them, they can be just as comfortable as any other type of shoe.
With that said, there’s no point denying that high heel shoes aren’t built for comfort, and if you’re buying a pair of heels, chances are you’re not looking to run a marathon in them, or veg out on the sofa. These shoes are built for style, and that’s why so many people love them: high heel shoes not only make us walk taller and carry ourselves differently, they also make us feel more confident, and ready to take on the world. And all of this from a simple (or maybe not-so-simple) pair of shoes!
