Pour la Victoire are selling the champagne and white versions of these shoes as wedding shoes, which interested me because although wedges make fairly practical shoes for brides (the heel gives more support than a flat, but is much easier to stand up in all day than a stiletto), you don’t tend to see a lot of them around, so perhaps these will be of interest to any wedge-loving brides-to-be out there.
I love the shape of the heel and the bow detail, and I even like the chunkiness of the ankle strap, although I know it’ll turn a lot of people off these. I think repeated exposure to this kind of style has helped adjust my eye to it, though, and I find myself liking them more and more these days too.
If you like them too, but don’t have a handy wedding coming up, you may be pleased to know they’re also available in black. They’re $180 at Zappos.
