Office mint patent ‘Kourt’ shoes

OK, I give you all fair warning here: I am absolutely obsessed with mint right now. Obsessed. And yes, I know I’m more or less always obsessed with green, in all of its various guises, but it would seem that the fashion world is aiding and abetting me with the “mint” thing, because I’ve been seeing products in this shade everywhere lately: in fact, I bought a mint coloured dress just this week, and I have my eye on some more minty fresh pieces too. I may need an intervention.

Mint coloured shoes are also on my list, of course, and at the very top of that list is Office’s ‘Kourt’, which I have to point out is their deliberate spelling error, not mine. A standard shape and a beautiful colour make these almost irresistible to me, and I wouldn’t say no to the nude version either. Well, I rarely do, do I?

KENZO Allegra Nepeta green floral sandals

kenzo green floral sandals KENZO Allegra Nepeta green floral sandals

Today I’m taking a mental leap forward to Spring by showing you these pretty floral sandals by Kenzo. We’re still a good few months away from the kind of weather that would make these wearable for me, more’s the pity, but that’s not going to stop me looking at them, and thinking about how and when I’d wear them: ideally on the terrace of some sun-drenched villa, with a glass of champagne in my hand. And a box of new shoes at my feet. Lots of them. Wait, I’m getting carried away here…

These are the quintessential Spring shoes, with their fresh, flora uppers, and the fact that green just so happens to be one of my favourite colours is just a coincidence, I swear.

Like them? They’re £229.50 and you can click here to buy them from Sarenza.

Shoe Save #72: The Night Before the Night Before Christmas

D70 8425 Shoe Save #72: The Night Before the Night Before Christmas

SHOES: Giuseppe Zanotti grey wedges (c/o Shopbop)
SAVED: Friday, December 23rd, 2011
WITH: Skirt, ASOS; top, ancient!

My last Shoe Save this side of Christmas, and these shoes probably require a bit of explanation, because as well as being rather different from my usual kind of style, they’re also rather different from my usual price-range, too! Luckily for me, I didn’t have to pay anything like full price for these: I had accrued a fair bit of store credit with Shopbop, who sponsor my sites, and I’d been admiring Giuseppe Zanotti’s crazy wedges for the best part of a year, so when these popped up, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to try them.

Topshop Jamaica curve heel glitter toecap shoes

Miu Miu released a high heeled version of this shoe earlier this year, which I absolutely loved. Sadly, I can’t afford Miu Miu’s prices, so these Topshop pumps could make for a more affordable stand-in. These have a slightly curved heel, which is also very “Miu Miu”: my one problem with them is the height of it. While I know pretty, mid-heeled courts are hard to find, and those of you who love them are probably jumping for joy at the sight of these, I can’t help wishing they’d gone for a higher-heel – although, then again, if they had, the temptation may have been too strong for me, so perhaps it’s a good thing that they stuck with something more sensible!

These are £55: click here to buy them.

I know the last pair of heel-less Zanottis I showed you weren’t exactly popular, but these ones? Well, these ones have a little more of a heel, at least, and they have totally won my heart. I mean, just look at them! They’d work as a shoe AND as an ornament: what more could you possibly ask?

OK, I jest. I guess you could ask for them to be cheaper, because $895 is rather a lot, granted. Other than that, though, I wouldn’t change a thing, and would wear them to death if I possibly could.

What do you think? You can click here to buy these from Net-a-Porter.

This is going to be our last Friday Fix of 2011 (I have some different content scheduled for the next couple of Fridays, which fall right before Christmas and New Year) so I figured we may as well go out with a bang!

These are Christian Louboutin’s Alti 160 pumps, and when I say “out with a bang”, I mean that literally: I think anything that made contact with these toes would be in danger of going “bang”!

I think that says it all, really, doesn’t it?

Shoeper Shoe Challenge Week 42 Roundup

Happy December, everyone! Or “Dressember”, as the case may be!

This is definitely the season of shoe-saving, as the upcoming party season hopefully brings us all more excuses than usual to get through some of the more “difficult” pairs. For me, as always, the real challenge will probably be in not buying any new ones: let’s see how that goes!

Here’s your Week 42 roundup – have a great weekend, everyone!
