Office red patent ‘bow time’ platform shoes

red patent bow shoes Office red patent bow time platform shoes

OK, I actually can’t BELIEVE I haven’t shown you these shoes already. I mean, look at them! They’ve been on the Office website for a while now in plain black leather, and I’ve noticed them a few times, but haven’t got round to writing about them. Now that I’ve seen the red patent versions, though, they’ve gone straight onto my wish list. Adorable.

You can buy them at Office, where they’re £65, but do me a favour: leave some size 4s for me, eh?

Nine West ‘Eastbound’ stripe peep toe t-bars

nine west eastbound Nine West Eastbound stripe peep toe t barsWell, I DID warn you I wouldn’t be giving up my stripes anytime soon, and here’s the proof! These are Nine West’s ‘Eastbound’ pumps, and they could almost have been made with my summer wardrobe in mind: the blue/red/white mix will work perfectly with all of those nautical pieces floating around at the moment (and which dominated last summer, too), and they have a fresh, carefree look to them which I love.

I like the shape of these as well as the colour, although I’m not quite as keen on the other versions which are available, namely black leather, black studded satin and blue studded satin.

These are $89, and you can buy them at NineWest.com.

Black leather bow sandals from Next

These are another take on the “multiple bows on a high strap” theme which we saw a fair bit of last year, but I think the fact that these are black, rather than pink or some other “girlie” colour, makes them a lot less sugary than some of the other examples I’ve featured here.

Of course, it makes them a little less cute, too, but having seen a picture of them on someone’s foot (in the Next directory, but not available online), I can confirm that these look nicer when worn than they do in the images above. They’re £40, and available from Next.co.uk.

Kurt Geiger ‘Ella’ stud toe court shoes

stud toe court shoes Kurt Geiger Ella stud toe court shoesThe studs on the toe of these shoes have a bit of a coy look about them, somehow. It’s as if the shoe is saying, “Look, I know everyone’s a bit fed up with suds now, but can I just try to squeeze these ones under the radar? There are only a few of them, and I promise I won’t get any more! So, can I? Can I?”

Well, can they, readers? I’d probably be hard-ass about this and say “no”, because this whole look just isn’t working for me, but what about you? If you’d allow them into your life, they’re £220 at Kurt Geiger.

Firetrap ‘Phoenix’ bow court shoes in black, purple and blue

office bow court shoes Firetrap Phoenix bow court shoes in black, purple and blueA simple, suede court shoe, but of course, sometimes “simple” is exactly what you’re looking for – and if it just so happens to come with a bow on top, well, so much the better!

These little ‘Phoenix’ pumps from Office will take you just about everywhere, and come in three different colours. I’m instantly drawn to the purple, but I’ve been buying a lot of blue recently, so I suspect I could probably find some space in my closet for those, too. And, you know, you ALWAYS need a nice pair of black pumps, don’t you? Whoops! Sucked in again!

Oli grey and silver corsage ankle aboots

oli corsage ankle boots Oli grey and silver corsage ankle abootsI love the colour of these boots: grey is so much more versatile than black for boots, and the silver on the corsage gives it a bit of a luxe look, too. As for that corsage, it’s obviously the stand-out detail on these boots, and I rather like it. The boot beneath is a nice enough shape to be worn on its own, but the leaf detail helps dress it up, and make it a little more interesting. Not bad for £40, although you won’t be surprised to know that the ”suede” is actually man-made in this case.

Get them at Oli.

ASOS ‘Tabby’ lace-up shoe boots

I’ve been hankering for a pair of shoe boots recently, and as if by magic, ASOS.com added these ones to their website yesterday. Sometimes I swear they can read my mind, and figure out just how to tempt me!

As just £35, you’d be struggling to find a more affordable shoe boot than these, and the shape is very classic. I suspect the colour of the boot on the right of the photo above will put some people off and make others fall in love with it (I’m somewhere in between the two), but the patent taupe version is very wearable. I’m drawn to patent at the moment because it tends to be pretty waterproof, and God knows, we need that at the moment!

Like them? If so, you can buy a pair here.

Faith’s ‘Clarency’ pumps with frilled toe caps

faith clarency court shoes Faiths Clarency pumps with frilled toe capsWe’ve been seeing a lot of toe-cap pumps around lately, but Faith have gone for a lovely beige/brown mix with these ‘Clarency’ pumps, which makes them a little more unusual. The pink version which is also available is just a little too pink for my tastes, but I’m sure it’ll have its fans, too and the overall look of the shoe helps prevent it being too Barbie-esque.

This is a classic style, in some slightly unexpected colours, which help bring it up to date. These cost £65, and you can buy them here.
