Celebrity Shoes: Lindsay Lohan in Balmain’s suede zippered boots

Aha! I knew it was only a matter of time before we started to see celebrities in Balmain’s suede zippered ankle boots. I had my money on Rihanna, but but here’s Lindsay Lohan wearing them instead, with a short skirt and what looks like a Motel shirt to me, although I can’t be totally sure.

As well as being very much on-trend (sorry, I hate that phrase too, but it’s true…) the zips help toughen up the appearance of the rose, and stop the shoe being too girlie – although the black uppers help in that respect too.

I’ve read a bit of criticism of these shoes since they first came out, but I actually quite like them: I particularly like the way a very feminine style has been given a bit of edge with the zippers, and I say this as someone who doesn’t normally have a lot of love for lots of zips on things.
Love zips? Well, these
