It’s the final Shoe Challenge Roudup before the Christmas break – more info on that in the post below, if you haven’t already seen it – so I just wanted to take a quick moment to say well done to everyone who’s still sticking with the Challenge! I know it gets harder as the year goes on, but hopefully the party season will give us all an excuse to wear some of the lesser-seen sparkly shoes, and allow us to cross those off the list too. (I really hope so, anyway: as some of you may have seen from my Twitter today, I succumbed to another pair of “sparklies” myself this morning so I really need an excuse to wear them!)

Week 43 of the Shoe Challenge was marked by some wild and windy weather here at Shoeper Towers, and even some snow, much to my horror. And this is why I should’ve saved more shoes during the summer! Still, I’ve been pressing ahead with the challenge anyway, and it looks like you all have to – I can’t tell you how jealous I am to see the photos from warmer parts of the world right now!

Here are the shoes that were saved this week!

It’s week 40! Hallelujah! Is it just me, or did anyone else feel like we were going to be stuck in the “thirties” forever?

Anyway, I’m running really late today, so I’ll keep the chatter to a minimum and let you get on with seeing the shoes that were saved this week: and here they are!

First up: three cheers for Moni, who has just become the second person to finish her challenge – yay! Well done to Moni, and thank-you for offering us some inspiration to get on with our own challenges! Last year I found this was the hardest part of the challenge: the weather is bad, there’s lots of stuff to organise for Christmas, etc, and my style inspiration is at its lowest. It’s been much the same this year, but we now have two completed challenges, which prove that it can be done: hallelujah!

Now, here are the other shoes which were saved this week!

Well, Week 38 of the Shoe Challenge has certainly has it’s ups and downs for me. On the up side, I increased my shoe collection by two pairs this week. This is also a downside, however, because while they’re gorgeous shoes (which I’ll be showing you soon!), the fact that I’m adding new shoes without actually saving the old ones isn’t exactly the cleverest idea I’ve ever had! I may have a bit of a cull over the next few weeks, to make things more manageable again, but then again, maybe I won’t: we’ll see!

I do have plans to do some shoe-saving over the weekend, though: we have a late-Halloween costume party to go to tomorrow night, and while my costume is probably the most most boring costume of all time, I am planning to wear an un-saved pair of shoes with it, so I’ll get back in the game, at least!

In the meantime, here are the shoes that were saved this week by my Shoeperstars: good work, everyone!

It’s week 37 of the Shoe Challenge, and the number of participants has started to tail off a bit recently, which makes me think that either a lot of you are close to the end of your challenges (yay!) or are simply starting to realise that the true challenge here isn’t wearing all of the shoes – it’s remembering (or finding time!) to document the process!

As for me, I’ve spent most of the past couple of weeks re-acquainting myself with my boot collection: unfortunately my favourite boots were some of the ones I chose to save first, back in February (I can’t believe the challenge has already spanned almost all of the seasons!) which isn’t good news for saving new pairs. I probably won’t get another save in this weekend, as it’s Halloween, and this year’s costume doesn’t really allow for fancy footwear, sadly, but hopefully some of you will get an extra pair or two saved!
