valentino red patent bow pumps Valentino red patent side bow pumpsI know the fact that Valentino like to add bows to their shows – and that Shoeperwoman likes it when Valentino adds bows to their shoes – isn’t news to anyone, but I still think this particular bow deserved to be featured here:

Black and white studded sandals by Valentino

Well, this is a bit of a change of pace from the bow-and-flower loving Valentino, but these studded sandals are still very much “them”, thanks to the elegant shape and classic monochrome colour. You could, of course, argue that these would’ve been just as nice without the studs, but I think they add an extra bit of interest to these shoes, and create a bit of “wow” factor.

Unfortunately these will also have a bit of “oww!” factor when it comes to paying for them: they’re £659, and you can click here to buy them from Far Fetch.

    Valentino bow-trim espadrilles

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the famous Valentino bow, and I’m also a bit of a sucker for espadrilles, so what could be better than a combination of the two? Well, OK, I guess red uppers could be better. Or, I don’t know, a price tag lower than $495, which is how much these will set you back.

Other than those two minor points, however, I think these are pretty much the perfect summer shoe. Or one of them, at least.

I’m guessing no one is going to be particularly surprised to see a Valentino shoe featuring a bow as its main attraction. The bow is, after all, one of the brand’s main calling cards, but this one is a little different from the usual, front-of-shoe extravaganzas, in that it’s a little smaller, and is sitting off to the side of the shoe rather than right on the toe. OK, so it’s not actually that different from Valentino’s usual offerings, I admit it. It’s still pretty, though, and if you want to buy a pair of these for yourself, you can click here to do it: just be prepared for the £645 price.

    Valentino Crystal Zebra Slingbacks

These shoes aren’t at all what I was expecting when I saw the word “zebra” in the product title: rather than the familiar (and slightly garish, in the hands of the wrong designer) black and white print we’re all used to, these use cutouts to cunningly suggest a zebra print, with your own bare skin as the backdrop. Texture and shine are added with a crystal overlay on the leather, and there’s a gold piping to finish the whole lot off. It sounds like a lot of detail when you write it down, but the finished product is actually much more sophisticated than it sounds, and definitely one of the more inventive uses of “zebra” I’ve seen.

These are by Valentino, so of course they’re jaw-droppingly expensive: $1,275 is the price, and you can click here to buy them from Neiman Marcus.

Valentino’s Floral-Applique Biker Boot: for girlie biker chicks

For the biker who also loves flowers

These boots made me laugh so much: I mean, trust Valentino to add flowers to a biker boot! So typical of the brand that loves bows and flowers almost as much as I do!

As much as this may surprise some of you to know, I actually really like the classic biker boot – and I prefer it when it doesn’t come with accessories. If you think flowers give these ones that extra little something, though, they’re $1,485 and you can buy them at Saks.

    Valentino peep toe rosette shoes

I know Valentino like to stick to the same kind of style with some of their shoes, but I can’t help but love them for it, because it happens to be a style I wholeheartedly approve of!

These peep-toe rosette pumps are just stunning: the pale pink colour is delicate and lovely, while the over-sized rose on the toe adds just the right amount of extravagance. Perfect for a special occasion, or even for a bride (look, I’m doing best to justify the $795 price, OK?), you can click here to buy them from Neiman Marcus: or even just to admire them from afar. I know I will.
