Tabitha Simmons red polka dot slingback shoes

You know, I’m really growing to love Tabitha Simmons. In a strictly platonic, admirer-of-her-shoes kind of way, I mean. These are the third pair of her shoes I’ve featured here this year, and the second to be completely covered in polka dots. You can see why I like this designer, can’t you?

Add the red uppers, gorgeous stiletto heel and small platform to the general dottiness, and I’m sold. The shoes, on the other hand are NOT sold – or at least not to me – because they cost £570. If you want them to be sold to you, head over to Net-a-Porter to claim them.

Friday Night Louboutin Fix: Christian Louboutin ‘Bianca’ slingback pumps

christian louboutin slingba Friday Night Louboutin Fix: Christian Louboutin Bianca slingback pumpsA slightly simpler shoe from M. Louboutin this week…

I love a bit of colour-blocking, and these ‘Bianca’ slingbacks manage to combine black, white, blue and red in a way that’s fun, but not garish. That classic Louboutin slingback shape, meanwhile, keeps the overall look elegant. Want to see some more? Oh, go on then…

Shoe Deja Vu: ASOS Vs Moschino bow-front black slingbacks

black bow shoes Shoe Deja Vu: ASOS Vs Moschino bow front black slingbacksThis particular style of shoe has been around the block a few times now (those of you with long memories may remember the cute little red versions Dorothy Perkins released last year, amongst others), so I must confess that I have no idea who did it first. What I do know, however, is that ASOS.com’s £30 slingback is a much more affordable shoe than Moschino’s £225 version, although which pair you prefer is a matter of personal taste.

Which pair DO you prefer? If you’d take the ASOS shoe over its designer cousin, you need to know that it’s also available in nude and pink. Decisions, decisions…

ASOS ‘Hooray’ slingback strappy sandals

I know it doesn’t make the slightest bit of difference to the way they look, but the fact that these shoes are called ‘Hooray’ did help make me smile this morning.

Some other things about these shoes that make me smile:

1. The price – they’re only £45.

2. The fact that they come in two of my favourite shoe-colours: nude and red.

3. The cute little double platform.

4. The fact that, as nice as they look in the image above, they look even nicer on. Take a look under the jump if you don’t believe me:

Miu Miu green patent platform slingbacks

green miu miu slingbacks Miu Miu green patent platform slingbacks

I allowed myself to look at Yoox.com again. I really shouldn’t have, because within a few minutes I’d stumbled upon these Miu Miu beauties, which are in my favourite colour, my favourite shape (well, one of them, anyway), and which aren’t TOO horrendously expensive at their sale price of £235.

Naturally, then, this means they’re only available in a UK size 6. Damn you, Yoox.com for raising my hopes, although I guess my bank manager (and Shoeperman) would probably want to thank you, too, for keeping temptation safely out of reach on this occasion.

If you are a lucky size 7, and have £235 you’ve been wondering what to do with, you can buy these here: all I ask is that you think of me sometimes when you wear them…

Miu Miu red suede slingback shoes

red suede slingbacks miu mi Miu Miu red suede slingback shoesSometimes (although not ALL the time) the simplest styles really are the best, and I think that’s proved by these red suede Miu Miu slingbacks. On paper, these wouldn’t sound like anything much to write home about, but in person (or in photographs, at least) they have so much impact, and that’s at least partly down to that vivid red colour of the uppers.

These have heels which are just a touch under 5″, although the platform sole should make them feel a little shorter. As for the price, well, as you would probably expect from Miu Miu, they’re not cheap, coming in at $575. Get them here.

Valentino satin and tulle slingback shoes

valentino slingbacks Valentino satin and tulle slingback shoesI was firmly on the fence about the last pair of Valentino shoes I showed you, but these ones get my wholehearted approval. I’ve always had a bit of a weakness for tulle, anyway, with all of its glamorous, fairytale-dress associations, and these would be the perfect accessory for one of those big-skirted, 50s-style gowns. Or for anything else you like.

They’re £473 from Colette.
