Giuseppe Zanotti multi-coloured stone embellished sandals

giusepe zanotti sandals Giuseppe Zanotti multi coloured stone embellished sandalsThe summer stock is slowly starting to trickle into my favourite stores at last. Normally this is cause for great rejoicing here in Shoeperland: I’m not a fan of the sales (Being a very common shoe size means that everything’s sold out in my size long before I get there, anyway, and I get bored with the lack of pretty new things to look at), and I AM a fan of all things related to summer, so this small sign that we’ve made it to a New Year, and are now headed in the direction of warmer weather is usually more than welcome!

This year, though? Not so much. We still have over a foot of snow on the ground here, which means that sandals like these ones by Giuseppe Zanotti are still a very distant dream: or at least they would be if I actually liked them. Which I don’t. Sorry, Mr Zanotti: maybe I’m just not ready for so many colours now that my eyes are used to the dull shades of winter… or maybe there are just a few too many gem stones on these yellow sandals. I suspect it’s the latter, but if you think it’s the former, and you’d really love to wear these, prepare for the bad news: they’re £1006. Gulp.

If you love them, you can buy them at Louisa Via Roma.

Dune’s ‘Pav’ Swarovski embellished court shoes

dune pav peep toes Dunes Pav Swarovski embellished court shoesIt’s not just the designer shoes that are being covered in crystals and other embellishments at the moment: these shoes are from Dune’s Black Sand range, and as you can see, they’re certainly not missing out in the “bling” department!

I love the shape of these: the peep toe and the front of the shoe in general is really similar to the Miss Dior peep toes that have been popular for a while now, and that luscious green suede is guaranteed to get my attention, although of you don’t like it, these are also available in red and black.

At first, I was slightly disappointed to see the crystal-covered heels, because they’d stop me from wearing these during the day, but if you’re looking for an evening shoe with a lot of impact, I guess all those Swarovski crystals will certainly provide you with that!

These are down to £11o in the sale – get them from Dune.

Sergio Rossi crystal sprial heel sandals

This is yet another shoe to be filed under “interesting developments in the world of heels”. Oh, and also under, “Oh my God, who pays £1,261 for shoes, WHO?”

Not me, but then, I probably wouldn’t be buying these in any case: not because I don’t like them, but because I have a funny feeling that, once on, it would look like my heels had buckled under my tremendous weight, and that’s not a look I generally go for.

These are pretty, though, and I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t spend at least a couple of seconds cooing over the bow on the front, so here you go:

Consider them officially cooed-over. If you’d like to buy them, meanwhile, you can do that here.
